Terms of Service

Effective 8 September 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Netsums about your use of the Netsums exam-preparation service at pass.netsums.com (the “Service”). By creating an account, buying a membership, or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

These terms govern your Netsums membership and the Service at pass.netsums.com. General use of our main website is additionally subject to the terms at netsums.com/terms.

1. Who we are

The Service is provided by Ricardo Carvalho, operating under the business name Netsums as a sole proprietor (Einzelunternehmer) in Germany (the “Provider”, “we”, “us”).

2. What Netsums provides

Netsums offers practice questions and explanations to help you prepare for Palo Alto Networks certification exams, together with practice and timed exam-simulation modes, topic and difficulty filters, and progress features. The questions are study aids only.

The Service is provided on an “as available” basis. We may add, change, or remove features, questions, and content over time.

3. Your account

You sign in with your email address (via a one-time link or a supported single-sign-on provider). You are responsible for keeping access to your email and account secure, and for activity that takes place under your account. Accounts are personal to you and may not be shared. You must be at least 18 years old, or old enough to enter a binding contract where you live, to buy a membership.

4. Free access and membership

You can use a limited number of practice questions for free each day without a membership. A paid membership removes the daily limit and unlocks the full question bank, exam-simulation mode, and the other member features described on the membership page.

5. Price, payment, and taxes

A membership costs a one-time payment of USD $99. This is a single, non-recurring payment: it does not automatically renew and nothing further is charged. Payments are processed by Stripe; by paying you also accept Stripe’s terms as our payment provider. We do not receive or store your full card details.

The Provider is a small business under the German small-business rule (Kleinunternehmerregelung, §19 UStG), so no German VAT is charged. You are responsible for any taxes, duties, or charges that may apply in your own country.

6. What your membership includes and how long it lasts

A membership gives you full access for 12 months from the date of purchase. After 12 months your access returns to the free tier unless you purchase again. We may change the price of new or renewed memberships in future; any change does not affect a membership you have already bought.

7. Right of withdrawal and 14-day money-back guarantee

EU consumers — right of withdrawal. If you are a consumer in the EU, you normally have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days. Because a membership gives you immediate access to digital content, when you complete your purchase you expressly request that access begins immediately and you acknowledge that you therefore lose your statutory right of withdrawal once access has been provided.

14-day money-back guarantee. Separately from the statutory right, and regardless of where you live, we offer a voluntary money-back guarantee: if you are not satisfied for any reason, email contact@netsums.com within 14 days of your purchase and we will refund your payment in full, no questions asked.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • copy, scrape, record, republish, sell, sub-license, or otherwise redistribute the questions, explanations, or other content;
  • use the content to build, train, or evaluate any dataset, model, or competing product;
  • share your account or your access with anyone else;
  • attempt to bypass the daily limit, access controls, or payment;
  • disrupt, overload, probe, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its infrastructure.

9. Intellectual property

The Service and its content are owned by the Provider or its licensors. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the content for your own exam preparation only, for as long as these terms allow. All other rights are reserved.

“Palo Alto Networks” and related exam and product names are trademarks of their respective owners and are used only to identify the exams our materials help you prepare for. See section 10.

10. Accuracy, no warranty, and no affiliation

Netsums practice questions are generated with the help of AI from publicly available Palo Alto Networks documentation and then reviewed. They may still contain errors and are provided “as is”, without warranty of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose, to the extent permitted by law.

They are practice materials only. They are not official or actual exam questions, and Netsums is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Palo Alto Networks. We do not promise, and cannot guarantee, that using Netsums will result in passing any exam. If you spot a problem with a question, please use the “Report a problem” button so we can review it.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, for lost profits or lost study time, or for the outcome of any exam. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for intent or gross negligence, or for injury to life, body, or health.

12. Suspension and termination

You can stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these terms (for example, by sharing or redistributing content). Where a paid membership is ended because of a breach that is your fault, no refund is due for the remaining period.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we will update the effective date above and, where reasonable, give notice. Changes do not apply retroactively to a membership you have already bought. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.

14. Governing law and your consumer rights

These terms are governed by German law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country where you live, and nothing in these terms takes those rights away.

15. Data, cookies, and analytics

We keep tracking to a minimum. Essential cookies— the ones needed to sign you in, remember your daily usage and your display preferences, and store your cookie choice — are always used. They are not shared with advertisers and do not require consent.

Analytics cookies. With your consent we use Google Analytics 4 (provided by Google) to understand, in aggregate, how the Service is used so we can improve it. These are off by default: nothing analytics-related runs until you choose “Accept” on the cookie banner. If you choose “Decline”, or simply ignore the banner, no analytics cookies are set and no analytics data is collected — and you keep every feature either way. We use Google Consent Mode, so analytics stays disabled until you opt in.

Your choice is stored in a cookie (netsums_consent) for 180 days, after which we ask again. You can change your mind at any time by clearing your browser’s cookies for pass.netsums.com, which brings the banner back.

For more detail on how we handle personal data, see our privacy policy.
